students are required to apply through the haed of institution in which they are studying. besides the issue of a press note in daily papers, registrars of all the universities in the northern region and heads of professional institutions known to the society are directly addressed, well in advance, along with prescribrd application form for identifying/ sponsoring candidates. They can also recommend cases for grant of scholarship on exceptional basis like physical disability, orphans, cases for grant of scholarship on exceptional basis like physical disability, orphans, fatherless, extreme poverty or any other strong compassionate consideration in relaxation of any of the aligibility criteria. The applications authenticated by the head of institution for the current academic year are required to reach the society by 31st October each year.
Each scholarship is valued by taking into consideration the tuition fee payable by the student and the over all fund available with society for disbursement, subject to a maximum of Rs. 600/- per month and a minimum of Rs.100/- per month (The society is a charitable trust and for funds is totally dependent on voluntary public donations which byb all means are limited. The society is not getting any financial grant the government or any other organizations).
The scholarship amount is paid through the head of the institution. Actual payee receipts duly authenticated by the head of the institution for the same are asked for.
The applications which fulfill the prescribed parameters are sanctioned by the governing council of the society specifying amount payable per month on "First- cum- First Served" basis for the full academic year. The sanctions are however at the discretion of the society and subject to availability of finds
